I’ve been wondering about taking a cruise on one of these huge ships and after reading this I am definitely going to give it a go! This book certainly gives a good insight on how these ships came into being and it makes for a very interesting read. The color photographs make for a big download but it is really worthwhile. Mega Sisters of the Seas The Story of the World Four Largest Cruise Ship Paul Curtis eBook Reviews
Not sure what I had in mind, guess I was hoping this would spend more time talking about the development and technology of the ships. The story spent too much time on the history of Royal Caribbean as a company. My favorite part came after the story ended when it explained how the colors between the staffs shoulder stripes indicates their role on the ship, and what title they hold based on their number of stripes.
A good look at the behind the scenes of these incredible cruise ships and how they are built and run. Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines had some troubles in its early history and to get to the stage where they can spend $5 billion US dollars on building just one class of four ships is amazing. There must be some big money to be made out of running cruise ships!
